Little Free Library

Notice: Due to recent vandalism, the Little Free Library has been removed for repair. We expect it to be returned to its location by the end of July 2021.

The grounds of St. Augustine now offer a chartered Little Free Library™! The library will be located in front of the rectory building on Lismore Street.

How It Works:
Take a book, share a book. Borrow a book from the library whenever you'd like. When you're done, return it for someone else to enjoy. If you have a book at home you'd like to share with the community, add it to the library!

Project Augustine has taken the Read in Color pledge, aiming to amplify diverse voices at a grassroots, community level. We maintain a wide-ranging overflow of donated books for all ages to add to the library rotation throughout the year. Have a large collection of books you'd like to donate? Contact us with details!

Why It's Important:
More than 30 million U.S. adults can't read or write above a third-grade level. 2 out of 3 children living in poverty have no books to call their own.
We're striving to make a positive impact on those statistics.
