Since we took ownership of St. Augustine in mid-February this year, we have logged more than 240 volunteer hours with over 35 hard-working volunteers. Thanks to our volunteers' dedication and willingness to pitch in for this massive project, St. A's grounds have been cleared, windows and doors have been properly secured, dumpsters have been filled with 11 tons of debris and materials, and our new food pantry program is up and running.
As we head into the fall and winter months, many of our on-site volunteer opportunities will not be available on a regular basis. Regular cleanup days will resume in the spring, and a few will be scheduled (weather permitting) during the fall/winter. But, we still need a TON of help making strong fundraising and community outreach efforts to close out 2020. In general, these will include:
Food pantry donation solicitation
Food pantry distribution (on-site/delivery)
Handmade merchandise crafting (jewelry, picture frames, etc.)
Assistance with winter t-shirt campaign
Assistance with direct mail campaign
2020 Donor follow-up/retention mailings
In-kind donation follow-up
Social media outreach
Neighborhood canvassing/flyer distribution
